The Mill Group System is an information system designed to assist with the management of growers delivering cane to a mill.

The systems objectives are:

1. Centralize all grower and delivery information in a database that can then be used to simplify the management of cane supply.
2. Interface with weighbridge systems to provide real-time delivery information.
3. Provide cane supply managers with tools to improve estimating and to streamline the allocation of daily delivery quotas to growers.
4. Group growers into Harvesting Groups for which the system can work out a harvest plan that generates cut dates for all fields in the plan. Each Harvesting Group requires a daily allocation which can be revised daily, weekly or monthly.
5. Provide agronomists with agronomic information to assist them in identifying cane supply problem areas as well as to identify growers who are performing well.
